Hi, I’m Tom and I’m a copywriter, content and digital strategist, blogger and all round social media addict working for Hotwire PR. I get more excited than I should by new tech and new ways of helping people communicate online.
Alongside this, I’m also a keen blogger, particularly on politics, rugby and the media. I set up The Grapevine, a website aimed at encouraging political debate among the internet generation and have written for a wide range of publications, including The News Hub and Left Foot Forward.
I’ve also dabbled in political communications – spending the first half of 2012 working for Yes! To Fairer Votes as Press and Strategy Officer for the West Midlands, writing, spinning and generally trying to prevent us losing miserably. (I failed)
Journalism has always been a passion and prior to crossing the floor I received a postgraduate diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Cardiff University. I’ve carried out a range of freelance and work placements with organisations including Media Wales, Journalism.co.uk, Buzz Magazine and the Worcester News.
When I’m not online, I’m usually found playing or watching sport, following, with unending optimism Newcastle United, Worcester Warriors and the England Cricket, Rugby and Football teams.
